Finding Calm in 7 days: how to move and breathe through your anxiety
You don’t have to live with anxiety. Learn how to reduce the physical symptoms of anxiety and short-circuit your worry, by focusing on moving your body and breathing. This short online course will teach you 15 simple techniques to quickly take back control and calm your nervous system. Guided by videos and audio recordings, you will learn to master these simple techniques so that you can get your life back on track.
6-week programme: Moving through menopause – reclaiming your body, identity & purpose
Peri-menopause, menopause, medically-induced menopause. No matter your age, as we transition through this stage of life our bodies change shape, our hormones go beserk, and our sleep and energy levels fluctuate. On top of that, we can feel invisible in society, loosing our sense of purpose and identity as women. However, this also can be a very positive time in our lives. A time of reclaiming your power, finding your voice and becoming the Autumn Queen of your life.
It’s time to rediscover and reclaim your wonderful mid-life body, identity, sexuality, and purpose in life. Finding self-acceptance and self-compassion through connection with your body in this 6 week-programme. For more information click here.
Introductory class: moving and breathing through anxiety and stress
Did you know that you can make a significant impact on the physical symptoms of your anxiety through movement and breathing techniques?
In this introductory class, Sarah will guide you through gentle, trauma-sensitive movement and breathing techniques. Sarah will teach you ways to ‘down-regulate’ your nervous system so that you reduce that crushing sensation in your chest, nausea, and churning tummy. We’ll deepen your breathing, ground you, and help you feel calmer and more in control again.
We all move and breathe on a daily basis. You don’t have to be a ‘dancer’ to do this.
When: Wednesday 14 April 2021 6-7pm and/or Wednesday 28 April 2021 6-7pm (Go to just one or go to both, up to you)
Cost: $25 per person per class. You will be asked to pay when you make your booking to reserve your place.
Venue: Lower Hall of Thomas Leitch Memorial Hall, 10 Windsor Road, Red Hill QLD 4059.
Participants: Minimum age 20 years old. Maximum 8 participants so we can create a safe supportive atmosphere.
Accessibility: Accessible to wheelchair users.
Let’s explore what connection was like in your family of origin and how this has impacted you as an adult. We’ll look at your personal boundaries and investigate how you hold yourself back from speaking out. This workshop will combine movement, breathing, self-reflection and sharing in a supportive atmosphere.
